Kimura’s disease

11 February 2014, by FLAGEUL B.

Kimura’s disease and angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia (ALHE) are two rare diseases. Described respectively by Kimura in 1948 and Wells and Whinster in 1969, their clinical and histological similarities have made that these two conditions have, for a long time, been considered to represent a spectrum of the same disease. Recent data suggest that they are two distinct entities but it is not unusual that these two diseases have been addressed together in the literature.
