16 October 2012, by VIGNES S.

It is better to use the term compression rather than the term support as the various devices provide compression which is all the more important when they contain elastic. Compression is essential for the treatment of venous insufficiency, venous thromboembolic disease and lymphoedema. The French National Authority for Health (HAS) has recently issued guidelines on compression therapy.
